Guidelines and Tips

  1. Write what you see, including colors, shapes, and locations, and entities.

  2. If you know the race, gender, and name of persons in the image, include them.

  3. Be clear, and concise. Limit descriptions to 125 characters when possible.

    (Exceptions: complex artworks, or when more characters are required to transcribe the text on the artwork.)

  4. Avoid jargon and colloquial language.

Image Description Workflow

Step 1

Refer to Gallery Checklist in Airtable for checklist items.

Step 2

Using ID (column A) from Strikethrough Object Lists, locate the corresponding images in Egnyte.

Step 3

Double click on image to open preview.

Step 4

Put the image file name in the image: id field (Column B).

Step 5

Type image description in image description field (Column P).
